Her true love is Scottish history.
She has spent the last 25 years
helping
her grandfather, a retired historian,
sort, restore and rewrite the history
of
their family in Scotland and England.
That is where she came across the
basis for her novel "A Restless
Knight"
(Kensington, July 2006), set in the
year before the rising of William
Wallace. She had begun work on those
pages for the history of her family in
the late 1200s and thought it was a
perfect story to make a marvellous
novel. Her second novel-in-the-
works, "In Her Bed" August 2007,
Kensington, a series of books on the
saga of Scotland's war for
independence. Next - One Snowy
Knight (October 2008) and followed
by Yield to the Knight.
She also writes paranormal contemporary
romances, which will be put out by
Dorchester Publishing (2006). The
first two "The Invasion of Falgannon
Isle" (December 2006, Love Spell)
the second "Riding the Thunder"
(October 2007), the first two in a
series of seven books.

The Burning
by Susan Squires
"Behold the new Queen fo the Vampires"
Posted April 25, 2006
The Queen (of the Vampires) is dead; long live the Queen.
Paraphrasing the old royal address, I adapted it into a
play on words using Anne Rice's Queen of the Vampires
title. Rice has finally--so she says--gotten rid of
Lestat.
That is punishment to Rice. Lestat was Rice, or maybe Read more...
The Waterlord
by Dawn Thompson
"brilliant second book from a rising star"
Posted March 12, 2006
I knew several people who have read The Waterlord and raved
it was brilliant, even better than The Ravencliff Bride.
Even though I know these are astute reviewers and I trust
their judgement, I had to admit I needed to see for myself
because I loved the beauty of "Bride". Read more...
A Pharaoh, A Spell & Jade
by Aysel Arwen
"An charming and original story"
Posted June 1, 2006
My passion for history was bred and spoon-fed on the
ancient lore and history of Scotland, but I once considered
going into Egyptian Archaeology. There is something about
the riddle of the Sphinx, the pyramids, which lures the
imagination. Toss in a great love for old Mummy movies, Read more...
The Hunger
by Susan Squires
"Second in Regency Vampires"
Posted October 20, 2005
Susan Squires has a new vampire trilogy going for St.
Martins. The first, THE COMPANION, was a knock out of a
story that took you into sweeping locales and into the
dark
realm of the vampire. The second book in the series is
out
now, THE HUNGER, and Read more...

Well, the Big Easy lives on in spirit and fiction. The

The Ravencliff Bride
by Dawn Thompson
"Brooding gothic"
Posted October 14, 2005
The Ravencliff Bride has one of the most sensual covers
out
this year. But even the best cover cannot prop up a
shoddy
book. So it's up to the writer to deliver and Dawn
Thompson does. This is a Gothic Historical Romance, with
a
strong paranormal theme, Read more...
Ghost Walk
by Heather Graham
"Graham is dead bang perfect"
Posted June 18, 2006
I have been a long time fan of Heather Graham. Her series
works, her Historicals that are so rich in period, and her
sexy Contemporary Romances. Few writers can shift from
Category to Historicals to Mainstream with such ease as
Graham. I love her Civil War books, her Florida Indian Read more...

"Popp's second book after a long wait"
Posted October 2, 2005
About time!!! Robin T. Popp caught my attention with her
first book, TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN (Lovespell 2003). Then
nothing! ARGH! The book was highly imaginative, original,
with strong characters. Popp had all the ingredients for a
super book and she delivered. I kept waiting for more

What a fun read! Tess Mallory is a super talent, and really

Heart Choice
by Robin D. Owens
"Finally!! Straif Blackthornes long awaited tale!"
Posted June 28, 2005
I have been waiting for Straif Blackthorne's story since
Heartmate, the first of the Celta books from talented Robin
D. Owens. There was something about this solitary man that
called for his own story. I am delighted to see in this,
the fourth book in the series his Read more...
Elizabeth's Wolf
by Lora Leigh
"Dead Bang on Perfection"
Posted August 20, 2005
I was recommended Lora Leigh by writer Kate Angell. She
knows how I like powerful stories that grab the reader and
won't let them go. I have three of the "Breed books" and
am naturally reading them out of order, typical for me.
Still, that is often Read more...
Her Highland Rogue
by Leanne Burroughs
"Burroughs second book is a heart-stealer"
Posted February 7, 2006
Leanne Burroughs' book Highland Wishes was a wonderful
book. Her first, it was full of heart and so much love - of
storytelling, history, of Scotland. She did the amazing Hat
Trick of winning the 2004 Laurie for Historical Romance.
Since Highland Wishes, from a small press, won over all Read more...
Sofie Metropolis

Tori Carrington (the razor-sharp, sexy, husband-and-wife
writing team) of Harlequin/Silhouette series romance,
broaden their scope of their writing, moving in to
mainstream with this utterly brilliant Sofie Metropolis
for
Forge Publishing. Drawing heavily on Greek roots, they
imbue this charming, first-person tale with sidesplitting
humor and love. I Read more...
Dirty Little Secerts
by Julie Leto
"Leto pumps up the volume!!"
Posted May 25, 2005
Julie Leto has been one of the top writers to emerge from
Harlequin's Blaze line.
She is a sassy, sexy author that loves people, loves her
characters. She likes to dance on the razor thin edge of
the envelope, is unflinching in her sexuality of those
characters, so you could Read more...
The Companion
by Susan Squires
"breathtaking!"
Posted May 16, 2005
Susan Squires has really never written romance. If you look
hard at her backlist, while sold as romances, her books
really aren't. They are so much more. She writes complex
character studies, and since romance is a part of the make
up of the human condition, it will play a Read more...
Fire Me Up
by Katie MacAlister
"Katie works her magic again!"
Posted May 23, 2005
Well, Katie Mac is at it again. What do they feed her? I
don't know of any writer who is as prolific or as much
fun.
Humor is hard to write, harder for reader to often catch.
What has one person laughing hysterically, will see
another
stone-faced. Well, a few Read more...
