"Will he be able to embrace what he is?"

Dulcie thought she had been attracted to her last lover, but that was nothing compared to what she felt for Dr. Matthew Winter. Matthew is her friend Lisa's brother and a genius. After running him off from his dad's birthday party, Dulcie seeks him out at his work. Matthew is hers and she has no plans on letting him get away. Things are going well, until Matthew meets Dulcie's ex-lover, Wayne.

THE BLOOD DOCTOR introduces another breed of vampire. This one has a lot less of the restraints of the original. I liked that the two main characters became a couple early on. I know this is a short format so you may say this had to be, but I still liked the fact that the misunderstanding was quickly and satisfactorily resolved. An excellent story, though perhaps a bit more violent and bloody than I like. I look forward to more stories about this breed of vampire.

Summary

Dulcie Evans knows from the start that she and Dr. Matthew Winter are a perfect match, yet how can she convince a man who's virginal in the ways of vampiric love? Matthew has always striven to disguise his animal side since he fears the consequences of releasing the vampire in him - until he meets Dulcie. She's the woman of his dreams and the missing part of his soul. Unfortunately she possesses a major drawback in the form of an ex-lover who will stop at nothing to see Dulcie back in his arms and Matthew dead.
