Erianne Duval works for the CIA. Since her partner's death, her goal in life is to remove as many bad guys from the streets as possible. Her new assignment: become indispensable to magician Drake Conover to determine if he is passing stolen information to foreign governments.

Drake is instantly attracted to Erienne, and the two wind up in bed together. Erienne does not believe Drake is the traitor, but that someone employed by him is passing the information along. When she confesses to Drake that she works for the CIA, he is upset that she used him. Can he accept her on whatever terms necessary to keep her in his life?

Gaelen and Brent have been having sex for five years, but she insists that they keep the real world separate from their affair. Neither has ever been to the other's house, and they only meet on weekends, keeping in touch during the week by phone. Both have busy and demanding jobs, but after five years, Brent knows he loves Gaelen and wants more.

Gaelen comes from a dysfunctional family. After her mother commits suicide and her sister marries into an abusive relationship, Gaelen vows never to get serious with any man. Now she has been persuaded to spend two weeks at Brent's home, and the more she learns about the private man, the more she loves him. Brent wants Gaelen for his wife and the mother of his children, and he pulls out all stops to get what he wants.

Lots and lots of sex, so this book definitely deserves its NC-17 rating, but both stories were contemporary romances with entertaining storylines.
