REVIEW

"Fun and erotic -- a magical menage."

The Sorceresses of Covenani and the Wizards of Couldaran have been separated for a thousand years. The Wizard Twins traditionally found mates for their trio-marriages from the members of the Coven, but then tales spread amongst the women of the horror of having to share a marriage bed with two men at once. But that period of being separate, of having to settle for human mates, has weakened both the Wizard Sect and the Coven. And now the Seculars are arming for battle and threatening their world. So Queen Amoria of Covenani is willing to consider an alliance with Couldaran.

Drago and Lasan Veraga, the highest-ranking Wizards, know that Briana, youngest daughter of the Queen, is their destined consort, and have been courting her for several years. But Briana is young and inexperienced and terrified of the stories about having to mate with Wizard Twins, even though they have assured her mother that Briana would come to no harm and that she would be happy and secure with them. She is willing to marry one or the other of the twins, but not both -- the Sorceresses don't understand how the threesome with Wizard Twins ties into their power, and how important it was that they mate when the woman reached her peak of magical fertility. Eventually, a rash act on Briana's part allows Drago and Lasan to force her into the marriage, and gives them the chance to demonstrate the reality of mating with Wizard Twins. Not that their new bride is ever docile or obedient -- she keeps them on their toes and demands that they satisfy her in every way.

I found it very enjoyable that Drago and Lasan, despite being twins, have such different personalities and interact with Briana in their own ways. Drago is the forceful and demanding one who often makes Briana angry at her mates, while Lasan is more apt to comfort and cuddle and talk to her. It makes for an excellent threesome relationship. The sex is explicit and hot; being a threesome, it does include oral and anal sex.

This is the start of a trilogy -- Briana's two sisters will be getting their own stories.
