"Very entertaining futuristic romance."

Tayra is a Glacidian princess whose father has been killed by a power hungry uncle. Under house arrest and about to be forced into marriage with a man chosen by her uncle, she arranges to be captured by an enemy of her planet, the Lord Chancellor Aaxis. Prior to his death, Tayra and her father had planned to approach Aaxis to arrange a marriage between them to unite the warring planets of Glacid, Aktares, and Sark.

Aaxis also has plans to unite the planets. Unknown to the Glacid, the armies of Sutiumi are approaching with the intent of capturing all three planets. Aaxis believes a child born to him and Tayra will unite the three armies so that they will stand a chance against the Sutiumi.

Both Aaxis and Tayra are playing a high stakes game of conquer or be conquered. Because of an enzyme found in the Glacidian female, any man who has sex with a Glacidian woman in cycle becomes totally obsessed with her and is forever unattracted to any other woman. Aaxis's father left him and his mother for a Glacidian woman, and Aaxis is willing to risk death to take an antidote to prevent the effectiveness of the enzyme.

When Tayra's plan fails, she is willing to do anything to keep her people from death. However, that works to her benefit because soon, Aaxis is willing to do anything to keep her in his bed.

I found the story line interesting, the sex very steamy, and I would love to own the special gown Aaxis gives to Tayra. Very enjoyable book.

Summary
