"Creative and passionate tale"
On the eve of the day that should have been her wedding,
Kendall Moore was tired and in a bad mood. Pondering the
ironies of her life -- her sister stealing her fiancée at
the top of the list -- she never expected to find a
handsome man in her yard. A handsome, pregnant man? From a planet where women ruled, Flame had barely escaped
with his life. A death squad was tailing him and he feared
for the safety of his children. As much as he didn't want
to trust or involve anyone in his problems, he needed the
help of the human female Kendall. Not just to stay alive
and to hide, but also to care for his two children. Men of
his world knew nothing of child raising, they were bearers
only. As each day passed, Kendall found herself falling more and
more for Flame. Determined to protect him and his
children, she found herself as determined to make Flame a
permanent part of her life. Flame is a man struggling with
what was and what is to be. If he wants a life with
Kendall, he must first overcome the differences between his
old way of life and his new. With KEEPER OF THE FLAME, Stephanie Burke blazes her way
into Ellora's Cave. Creative and passionate, her novel
evokes multiple emotions in the reader, from the beginning
when Kendall is filled with such pain and frustration, to
the end when we know that all is as it should be. Rated Hard R/NC-17 by the publisher.

SummaryOut of this world...WAY out

matriarchal planet where males have no rights and are kept
only as workers because of their huge size and as sexual
chattel for the same reason.
