"Catwoman meets Zorro"
Haley Yates has been in love with Lieutenant Cole Fischer
ever since she first saw him at the Ft. Lauderdale precinct
two years earlier. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to notice
her except when he's asking for copies of reports. She's a
secretary at police headquarters instead of a cop due to an
injury during her final week at the police academy. Her
advanced knowledge of police procedures gave her an
advantage over the competition. On Halloween she dresses as Catwoman to go to the
department's masquerade party. Once there, she runs into
Cole dresses as Zorro. There's an immediate attraction
between them, especially since Cole doesn't know who she
really is. Three hours later she's on her way home from the party
when she hears a call on the police scanner for backup.
An officer was wounded and the suspect was armed and
dangerous. One thought kept going through her mind --
maybe I can help. Forgetting the fact that she doesn't
even have a badge, she guns her car towards the crime
scene. Once at the scene she sees Cole being held at
gunpoint. Without thinking, she runs towards the gunman
and kicks the gun out of his hand. She knows she can't
reveal her identity so when Cole asks her name, she just
turns and runs. Cole is completely captivated. He's never met such an
exciting, gorgeous woman before and he has to find her.
He thinks she must be a policewoman with those moves and
decides to do some investigating to find her. This was a cute little story that seemed perfect to read
close to Halloween. Some of the plot twists were a bit
unbelievable but I still enjoyed the story overall. Sexual Content: R

SummaryContemporary Romantic Comedy. Haley Vaughn feels
invisible, especially to the gorgeous policemen she works
with in the Ft. Lauderdale Police station. Whereas they
trip all over themselves to get her best friend Cindy's
attention, they trip over her...until the night of the
Halloween ball, when she loses her glasses in favor of
contact lenses, and her dowdy business suit in favor of a
super sexy Catwoman costume, and then tops off the night by
rescuing the man of her dreams, ultra-sexy Lt. Cole
Fischer, from a gun wielding thief.
Cole's enchanted by his mysterious savior and vows to find
her, especially when she keeps showing up in her costume,
to rescue him whenever he gets himself into a bind.
Curiosity and his pounding libido are about to kill him.
Meanwhile, he's been thrown together with Haley, the police
department's admin assistant, and while she's not deadly
sexy as his temptress, she's awfully sweet and the perfect
homemaker. Soon, his heart is pulled in two and he can't
explain how he can be highly attracted to two polar
opposite women.
Meanwhile, Haley sympathizes with Clark Kent. She starts to
seriously question her sanity when she starts to feel
jealous of herself! But she can't compete with her alter
ego as men aren't attracted to women who wear glasses . . .
or are they?
