"Quick but Satisfying Read"
Lois Commoner is washed up and washed out. An injury has
left the once vital police officer chained to a desk -- and
she hates it! After one particularly horrid night, she
decides to end it all. Except it doesn't work. Lois finds
herself in the Sandlands, where her scars are highly sought
in brides. Luckily, the Bridefight is just about to begin.
Though she doesn't know it -- she's going to be the prize! First of all, this is a SHORT book. Almost too short.
Davidson's trademark humor is there, as well as her plucky,
no-holds-barred heroine and the dishy hero who manages to
capture her interest and her reluctant heart. The fantasy
world of The Sandlands is fun, and though readers only get
a brief introduction in Lois' excursion, and the characters
are lavishly delightful. Damon, the hero, is a shapechanger
and he is, of course, sexy as anything. Plus, even though
it is terribly short, CANIS ROYAL: BRIDEFIGHT is not only
believable, but very, very satisfying. For a quick read,
this is a great bet.
