"These are definitely my type of "pets"!"

The new group of wildlings Arness is bringing in looked promising. Her personal pets, Primary and Secondary, tend to most of the grooming of them in preparation for the sales the next day. When Arness arrives at Morgena's home, she discovers a job awaiting her she hadn't expected. The wildling that Morgena wants to give to her daughter, Salla, needs training.

Captured once more, Adan didn't let it worry him too much. He would escape again. He hadn't planned on being turned over to Arness for taming, though. Nor did Arness expect such a stubborn and determined wildling. She finds his actions and words making her question a way of life she has always known. It's when she gets bushwhacked and Adan is part of the rescue effort, though, that she begins to see her "pets", including Adan, in a very different light. Things start getting a bit complicated when Salla decides she wants Arness' loyal pet, Primary, and Arness discovers a desire for Salla's Adan that she has never felt before.

I really looked forward to THE WILDLING and, once again, Ms. Harte does not disappoint. Have to admit, this is place I wouldn't mind visiting. A fascinating world with a rather unique social system makes this story one to read non-stop. It certainly keeps you hopping with a storyline that has three relationships evolving simultaneously. The action really escalates toward the end and so does the fun.

Summary
