"Erotic use of spices, inventive sex scenes."

Professor Owen Lloyd Jones is injured in a lab experiment, and is sent by his friends to Louisa Cellini's house to recover. Forty-four-year-old Louisa feels an instant attraction to this handsome scientist, but is at the same time frightened by the intensity of her response to Owen. Owen, 42, for his part wholeheartedly reciprocates Louisa's lust. He is intrigued by his sensual caregiver, who at moments is surprisingly intimate with Owen and at other times, distant and absent.

LYING WITH LOUISA opens with a very hot scene, setting the tone for the rest of this fast-paced short story. Louisa and Owen experiment with spices, culminating in several inventive scenes with ginger root and peppermint oil. As this story proves, author Kelly creates extremely evocative sex scenes, both emotional and erotic. In addition, Kelly creates a rather realistic older heroine, one who is both vulnerable and strong at the same time. Kudos to Kelly for a very strong conclusion to the Beau Monde trilogy.
