"Dreams or ghostly warnings--which should she believe?"
Edwina has known Klaus, in every sense of the word, for
many years -- in her dreams. In reality she has never met
him or anyone like him. Not all that unusual for a woman
who shares her home with a ghost. Then she meets Klaus von
Bruner. Klaus has been waiting for Edwina for a long
time. He is surprised and pleased when she greets him as
an old acquaintance. As for Edwina, she recognizes him
from her dreams, yet it can't be the same man, can it? Was
his coming into her shop an accident or something he
planned? Who is he, really? A warning from Catherine, her
resident ghost, that Klaus is dangerous to Edwina, doesn't
ease any of her worry. Edwina knows Klaus wants her for
sex, but Catherine warns her that he needs her expertise in
biochemistry, also. However, Edwina's dreams are prophetic
and she finds herself fulfilling them -- and fearing them.
For what Klaus finally reveals about himself is something
out of the realms of fantasy. This is a wonderful story, but it did have some problems.
I really liked this heroine. She is exceptionally strong
and determined to stand by what she believes -- and she
does. Of course, I loved the hero, also! He is willing to
let the heroine move at her own pace in the relationship.
Though rather short on action in some parts, the large
quantity of dialogue is very good. A few things did bother
me. It was a bit irritating that the main characters
often switched from English to "rapid" German, once the
fact was established that the heroine could speak German;
the words were all English for the reader, anyway. There
are some things that were confusing and didn't make
sense and some threads left dangling. Also, I would have
liked a little more background on the ghost. Still, I
highly recommend this story for anyone who likes an
intriguing, interesting paranormal romance. Sensuality--R. Masturbation; descriptive sex; blunt
language; oral sex. Monogamous relationship. Sexually
explicit scenes: 5.

SummaryAre they dreams or visions of the future?
Edwina first dreamed of Klaus von Bruner when she was only
ten years old. Since then, not a night has passed by that
visions of him haven't haunted her. She has compared every
man she's ever known to Klaus, all of them suffering by
comparison. The passion she shares with her dream lover
frightens her as much as it draws her to him.
Now, many years after her first dream, Klaus has made
himself known to Edwina. Who is he, really? WHAT is he?
Clearly he wants something from her... something more than
the passion shared in dreams.
