REVIEW

"Vampires and more . . . oh, my!"

Marriage in Moonlust by Kate Hill

Leona finds herself a human sacrifice, given to monsters by her own family. The Debray family has owned all the people and land for many generations, but it is only recently that Kornel Debray, a younger brother, has wreaked such death and mayhem on the villagers and land. When Lord Narcisse Debray, the head of the family, returns from a trip, he is just in time to save Leona from Kornel and the family servant, Augustus. Narcisse realizes instantly that he is unusually attracted to Leona, and decides to keep her for himself.

Narcisse is very upset with his younger brother but, because of a past event, decides to allow him to stay in the family home. While Leona at first wants nothing but to go back to her village, Narcisse refuses to allow it, and eventually she agrees to stay with him and marry him. However, Kornel is intent on making sure that his older brother never has a child, and will do anything to prevent it.

I thought this story well written and enjoyable. If you like vampire stories with romance, this one is for you.

Icarus by Sherri L. King

Morrigan Mederos is tired of her life in the spotlight. An entertainer living in New York, she decides to make a major move to Scotland to get away from it all. She basically feels she is on the edge of a breakdown because of dreams she is constantly having . . . dreams that involve an unearthly man with wings and fangs.

Azure has come from the planet of Icaria through gateways in the water to find his one true mate. He is only able to come to Morrigan in her dreams until she moves to Meigle, Scotland. Icaria is a water world, and by exchanging blood with Morrigan, Azure could change her from human to icari if she were willing to be taken to his world.

Morrigan is at first very frightened, but soon she accepts she cannot live without Azure. In her shoes, I would not be able to live without Azure either. He is HOT!! I truly enjoyed this story, and look forward to more by Ms. King.

Rated Hard R by Ellora's Cave.

Summary

Marriage in Moonlust by Kate Hill: Sacrificed to a family of vampires, Leona is rescued by handsome, powerful Narcisse Debray. In spite of her initial fear of blood drinkers, Leona is unable to control her attraction to the vampire lord. His lovemaking excites her beyond her wildest imaginings and he offers devotion such as she's never known. Unfortunately, their happiness is tainted by the wickedness of a jealous enemy. Narcisse's younger brother will stop at nothing to see the lovers destroyed.

Icarus by Sherri L. King: He comes to her in dreams, when she is most vulnerable to his stirring touches and burning kisses. He drinks her blood and binds her to him in ways no mortal lover ever could...but Morrigan doesn't want to believe that her water-dwelling blood drinker is anything more than a figment of her deprived imagination. Morrigan wants to be free of her addiction to the highly sexual creature she knows only as Az. But Az has other plans...and soon he hopes that Morrigan will be too deeply under his spell to care that he wants to take her back to his homeworld... to be his mate for all eternity.
