"as gripping as her Intrigue titles, but steamier"
"I don't know you well enough to make love to you." Sex with a stranger, a mystery man, someone who won't
judge, with whom there is no set way of acting, is a
seductive fantasy. But what if it is a coworker, someone
with whom you have a trust, but no personal contact. When Dawn, the daughter of Maddy Guthrie's employer, is
kidnapped, Maddy has to go undercover with fellow security
specialist Jack Conners to rescue her. Jack knows that for
them to survive, they have to be convincing in their act as
lovers. The only way to get to Dawn is to masquerade as a
crime boss and his floozy. Trapped on an island controlled
by a drug lord, the subtlest of sexual actions could mean
the difference between life and death. As things heat up, both in and out of bed, Maddy finds
herself depending more and more on Jack, and liking it. He
is a man who knows how to read between her lines, who knows
what she is saying, even when she speaks no words. When they get of the island, who knows that will happen
between them. For now, they have to stay alive and depend
on each other. Neither expected falling in love to be part
of the role. Rebecca York has been a favorite author of mine for a
while. With her blend of romance and mystery, she has
carved a niche for herself in the Harlequin Intrigue line.
But is it possible to blend the heated sex of the Blaze
line with the intrigue she is known for? She thought so, and I would have to agree. BODY CONTACT
contains all of the trademark Rebecca York intensity, with
a steamier subplot. While I hope she continues with the
43rd Light Street books for Intrigue, I would like to see
more from her in the Blaze line as well.

SummaryIn BODY CONTACT, I've had a wonderful time melding a sexy
love story with the kind of suspense I love to write.
I've fashioned a plot where danger and intrigue lurk around
every corner, and the only way my hero, Jack Connors, and
my heroine, Maddy Guthrie, can save their own lives is by
cultivating the hot sexual tension simmering between them.
But each touch, each caress, each kiss turns up the heat--
so that Jack and Maddy can hardly focus on their secret
mission through the haze of arousal fogging their
brains.
