REVIEW

"Don't underrate the power of wishes."

Craven's Downfall by Stephanie Burke

Fantasy. The fairy Craven, Master of Dark Desire, Lord of the Flesh, etc., etc., was bored, bored, bored. Gazing into his mirror that looked into the souls of men, he seeks a new experience--a new woman.

Nola is just hours away from her wedding and she is depressed. It's not that the man she is to marry isn't a good man, she just doesn't love him as she should. She wants to find true passion and she gets her wish -- she finds Craven, or he finds her. Now Craven isn't bored anymore, and that's good, isn't it? At least Craven thinks it is, until it comes time to put Nola back where he found her.

Grand story, with a fair amount of humor. Craven's Downfall brings you plenty of erotic sex with a extraordinary hero and a fun-to-read-about heroine.

Sensuality--NC17: Masturbation; descriptive sex; crude language; bondage; sex toys; anal stimulation. Monogamous sex. Sexually explicit scenes: 3.

A Wish Away by Marly Chance

Futuristic. Tiffany has lusted after Zak for six years now and he thinks of her as a "friend". Things have escalated, though, with the erotic dreams she's started having starring Zak and her. Then she makes her birthday wish and her world turns upside down. Hot sex, crazed killers and secrets revealed are just part of it. It certainly proves the old saying true "be careful what you wish for!"

Wonderful story, noteworthy characters whom I really liked. Hopefully there will be more stories told in this setting.

Sensuality--R: Consensual bondage; masturbation; descriptive sex; oral sex. Monogamous relationship. Sexually explicit scenes: 3.

Serendipity by Joanna Wylde

Futuristic. Seven-year-old Able is sure that the Saurellian Jax is bad for his mother, like his father was. However, three-year-old Mali wishes for a daddy and thinks Jax might be a good one. Jax wants their mom Sarai for more than just sex. He is sure that she is his lifemate. Convincing her of that will be very hard, but he has made a deal. She will give him three weeks to try. Can he persuade her in that time to share his life?

I must admit that this is my favorite of the three stories. I especially liked this hero and the way he handled things. I don't care for heroes and heroines being "destined" for one another, but I found the idea of the "lifemate" very intriguing. More stories set in this universe would be very welcome.

Sensuality--R: Masturbation; descriptive sex; blunt language; oral sex. Monogamous relationship. Sexually explicit scenes: 5.

Summary

Three women get their wishes granted, albeit not in a way any of them are expecting... Serendipity by Joanna Wylde: Sarai has lived through one terrible marriage. The last thing she needs is a new man in her life. But Jax isn't interested in taking "no" for an answer... Craven's Downfall by Stephanie Burke: She didn't want to marry the boring man she was bound to, so when one simple wish lands Nola inside a world filled with exotic creatures and erotic fantasies she thought it was a dream come true. But the thing about fantasies is that they never last...or do they? A Wish Away by Marly Chance: Tiffany has a bad history when it comes to birthdays. This year, she's made it 12 hours into her birthday and she's taking no chances. Well, except for that one small birthday wish she made...She wished her sexy best friend, Zak, would notice her and that her routine life would get more exciting. What, after all, could go wrong with a wish like that?
