"Sometimes being 'perfect' is not pleasant."
In Brooke Pennington, Sam Martinez believes it's possible
he has met his competition. He is determined to come out on
top in law school, but with the transfer in of Brooke, he
may have to fight for that. Brooke sees Sam as an
insensitive jerk whom she is always tense around. Things
change, though, when Sam invites her to join his study
group, and Brooke starts seeing Sam as sexually
attractive. Sam loathes Brooke for the simple reason that
she's rich. The reason he lusts for her is a bit more
complicated. All he knows is when Brooke takes the first
step, he is more than willing to meet her halfway. As
they get involved, though, Sam realizes that there is much
Brooke hasn't shared of herself and -- as much as he thinks
he'll regret it, he finds he really wants to know that
part. PERFECT is an excellent story. First off, I love the older
woman/younger man scenario. I also happen to like the
misunderstood heroine. This story has both. The hero was
quite yummy and the heroine no dipstick -- definitely not a
dumb blonde. The intimate scenes are well written. I found
the secondary romance wonderful and an intriguing and fun
side trip. No birth control or protection nor any
discussion of such was a downer for me, though passing
reference is made late in the story. This aside though,
Treva Harte once again writes a wonderfully fast moving,
hot, sexy story with good characterization and a involved
story line. Sensuality--NC17; Phone sex, masturbation, blunt language,
descriptive sex, oral sex, mild bondage. Sexually explicit
scenes: 8
