REVIEW

"Yowza! Delicious hunks and toe-curling passion to boot!"

Sheikh Hassan ben Khalifa Al-Qadim is furious when he receives letters from his wife asking for a divorce. Though Leona left him a year ago, he isn't ready to let her out of his life completely. However, as heir to the throne, he has many duties to his country and providing a son to continue the family line is one of them. His father's failing health and pressure from certain factions within the palace finally push Hassan to bring his wife back where she belongs, whether she agrees or not, or settle for the alternative - take a second wife.

Leona walked away from a husband she adored because she felt she had failed to give him the one thing he really needed - an heir. She's miserable without him, misses him dearly and still loves him madly. However, going back to Hassan is not an option. For his country and family line to prosper, he must produce an heir and Leona knows she can't stand by his side while he fulfills it with another woman. When Hassan literally kidnaps her and demands she share his life and his bed again, she's confused. Why is he doing this and how can she possibly continue to fight the love and sizzling attraction for him that never died?

Michelle Reid's June Harlequin Presents release, THE SHEIKH'S CHOSEN WIFE is an absolutely superb novel that can only be classified as a winner! Grab onto your hats ladies. This Arabian Sheikh will definitely leave you curling your toes and gasping for breath as the heat between him and his chosen woman escalates. Wow!

As you can probably guess, I enjoyed this category novel enormously. Ms. Reid has penned an intense and deeply compelling romance with a deliciously contrary heroine and a wickedly sexy hero. Hassan is sure to have readers drooling over him while Leona's distress over not being able to have children is enough to melt even the most hardened heart. The sexual chemistry and deep love between the two main characters shimmers brightly throughout the story. Deep characterization, intense dialogue and vivid descriptions add to the alluring theme, making the book difficult to put down until the very end.

The secondary characters were outstanding too. I just can't wait for Ethan's and Rafiq's stories. Both these hunks added to the charm and depth of the story. Just when you feel one of them has left your senses in a sensuously melted puddle on the floor another hunk comes along to melt you some more. Zafina, Faysal and Hassan's father, Sheikh Khalifa also contributed color and texture to the story.

Michelle Reid's writing style is solid and her unrivaled talent for crafting powerfully passionate category romances brings THE SHEIKH'S CHOSEN WIFE to a deeply satisfying and sparkling conclusion. It's a definite Keeper!
