REVIEW

"Naughty But Nice"

Cassie Tremaine Montgomery has come back to Pleasantville, Ohio, and has all the tongues in town wagging. Speeding through the town in her bright yellow sportscar, she also has taken up residence up on Lilac Hill, where she wouldn't have even been allowed to set foot ten years earlier. People think she is there to take up where her mother had left off, but in reality Cassie is hiding and she knows that Pleasantville would be the last place that anyone would think to look for her.

After a long night, all Sherrif Sean Taggert wants is a good night's sleep, but that is impossible when he gets a call about a speeder. Going to see who the culprit is, he is surprised to see that Cassie Montgomery is back and is bent on causing trouble. Unfortunately he is having a problem keeping his hands and mind off of Cassie, who has a secret that could threaten her safety.

The last person either Sean or Cassie wanted to get involved with is each other, but that doesn't stop the attraction between them. Cassie has some deep-seated resentment of men in uniform, and Sean has an idea of a perfect woman and Cassie is the opposite of his ideal.

Blaze has come up with a great idea of releasing books in a miniseries in the same month. I love the idea of not having to wait a month to find out what happens to the other characters and they have chosen authors who's writing styles compliment each other.

Jill Shalvis' NAUGHTY BUT NICE was a fun, quick read and I liked the chemistry between Sean and Cassie. It wouldn't be a Jill Shalvis book without steam and NAUGHTY BUT NICE certainly has enough steam to burn your fingers. It is also funny with the town and their reaction to Cassie and Cassie's reaction to her hometown as she realises that being back in Pleasantville, can be a bit Naughty, but also a bit Nice.

Connected to NATURALLY NAUGHTY. Kate's story.

Summary

She's taking the law into her own hands ... literally!

Cassie Tremaine Montgomery: The stunning lingerie model with a tough as nails attitude and a sheriff in her sights.

Sean "Tag" Taggart: The sexy as sin sheriff who is more than willing to play Cassie's game ... his way.

Cassie intends to use all the seductive powers she has to entice Tag as part of her revenge on her hometown. Tag, however, isn't cooperating. He's more than willing to set the sheets on fire with her, but he's asking for more than just sizzling sex .... he knows she's not as tough as she pretends. And he knows she cares about him -- even if she won't admit it. That's fine. He'll just turn up the heat until she concedes there's more between them than this red- hot passion.

Bare Essentials .. Revenge has never been this good ...
