"Not your usual romance novel"

Celeste Carson and her sister Corinne are both writers. Celeste has been suffering from writer's block. She's a successful writer of science fiction and can't seem to decide what to do with the hero of her novels. It seems the only thing left to do is kill him off.

The Dragon:

Jarred Varrain has slipped from his world into a dark void for 10 years. Every time Celeste writes her stories he's pulled into the void with only her voice. Sometimes he has the presence of another person for company. Once in the void, all he can do is listen to Celeste plot new ways to torment him and nothing he can do changes the outcome. Jarred has cybernetic implants throughout his body that give him superhuman strength and staying power. He travels through the galaxy in the future and battles the toughest aliens along the way.

The Dream:

Mykhayl has shared the void with Jarred on several occasions. When Corinne writes her stories, he's as helpless as Jarred. Every time he tries to change Corinne's plot she's able to outmaneuver him. His world is filled with dragons and magic where he's a warrior king and absolute ruler.

Mykhayl is able to obtain a blood-soaked amulet and spell that promises to allow him and Jarred to escape the void for a brief time.

I really enjoyed this book! The story is different from anything I've read before. The characters were well written and enjoyable from the beginning.
