REVIEW

"tiltillating taste of the unusual with tender characters"

Melanie Brannington is an office assistant for the local police department. She lives a quiet life without romantic involvement with anyone. She's been burned badly, and doesn't want to take the chance of being hurt again. When handsome Detective Dominick Roarke joins the police department, she can't deny he pushes her sensual buttons, but she won't act on the spark-filled attraction she feels for him. Dominick feels the same almost-overwhelming attraction, but he's gone though a bad divorce and he's not about to make the same mistake again.

Dwight Clayburn is fond of making videos and has made one showing him killing his wife. Dominick has managed to obtain the video and Clayburn kidnaps him in hopes that Dominick will turn over the tape. Melanie offers to act as a decoy, hoping that the police will find her and Dominick before anything happens to either one of them. Dominick's kidnapping has made her think about how she really feels about Dominick and the time they've both wasted. Before the police can get to them, Clayburn forces them into sex and films it. Clayburn is going to use that tape as leverage to make Dominick turn over the murder tape. As Clayburn forces them into sex, Dominick and Melanie's attraction flairs into wild passion and for a little time they forget their surroundings as they are caught up in the fulfilment of the sensual attraction they've both felt for each other.

I liked this story and in the short space alloted, the author manages to tell an exciting tale. The characters are richly drawn and even though they are forced into sex, the tenderness between the two is shown and felt. If you want a tiltillating taste of the unusual, read DECOY.

DECOY is rated NC-17 by Ellora's Cave for oral and forced sex in front of an audience.
