REVIEW

"Return of the insatiable alien plant women!"

Jill and Jay return in this heart-pumping, mind-bending sequel to Jay Hughes' previously released novel JILL. This time we're trekking into the deep woods with our favorite couple to meet Jill's daughter, Segoy. This alone is enough to cause Jay trouble, of course, but as Segoy and Jill are planning something -- something that they're unwilling to share -- Jay finds himself mired in the intense situation that is developing between Jill and Segoy and expanding outward to the entire alien culture.

Written in first person, the narrator's witty voice is what makes this novel a sheer joy to read. It turns out to be a cross between a family drama and an erotic soap opera, with the hero being our intrepid Jay, always willing to put his mouth (and talented tongue) right where it's needed. The characterization in this book is wonderful, but the voice is the key. Though SEGOY isn't a strict romance, there is no lack of caring relationships between the men and women who populate this rip-roaring story. Potential readers can expect frequent sex, a surfeit of oral pleasures, and a feel-good ending, even though it's not classically romantic.

SEGOY was written by a man, so some female readers may be wary about trying this story -- the best advice is: Don't Be! Hughes' masterful pen (keyboard?) enchants, and though the story is explicit it is very tasteful, and above all respectful of the nature of women. Readers of humorous erotica, or those interested in science fiction with a little heat to it will probably appreciate the story, but any reader of contemporary erotica should give it one a try, simply because it is so much fun!

Note: It is not necessary to have read the first volume to enjoy SEGOY, though I believe one or two jokes may be missed if you skip JILL.

Sensuality Level: Spicy. Explicit, but not raunchy. Consistent and frequent sexual encounters are involved.
