Being part of a bachelor auction is not something Rick Markham enjoys doing. Talked into participating by his partner and friend, Troy Hunter, Rick finds himself bought by full figured Jennifer Rose.

Jennifer is a fully qualified computer technician and an author. A full figured friend of hers is a professional escort and she, herself, does not really have a lack of male companionship. So paying $500 dollars to spend an evening with a blond bachelor (she's had some bad experiences with blondes) isn't something she had planned on, nor really needed to do.

Disappointed that the slender blonde he wanted didn't win the bidding war for a date with him, Rick plans on making the best of what he ended up with. Except the date he intended to be strictly platonic ends up not only very hot, but with the development in him of feelings for Jennifer he never would have imagined. Now if he can only convince Jennifer that his feelings are real.

The first two-thirds of this story is wonderful. It is well written and has some great characters. The relationship between the two main characters advances nicely. I must admit to being discontented in the way the story line went in the last third. Though the hero and heroine's characters were well developed, I found myself not really liking them by the end of the book. The unprotected sex turn the story took toward the end I found annoying. Please remember, though, that this is just my thoughts on this story line. It was still a well written and mostly enjoyable tale.
