RETRIBUTION is the second volume in J.C. Wilder's increasingly popular Shadow Dwellers series. It is fast- paced and adventurous, with a heartwarming reunion-story romance tucked in. Readers who enjoy vampires and shape- shifters in their fiction (those, at least, who haven't already found and devoured Wilder's series) should enjoy this engrossing novel, where we are introduced to some of the history between the characters, and where we start to see into the world of the Shadow Dwellers.

This book could stand on its own, though reading ONE WITH THE HUNGER (Shadow Dwellers, Vol. 1) first would acquaint the reader with at least some of the characters and situations, and make RETRIBUTION's visitation of the previous hero and heroine more enjoyable.

Summary
