"Spicy and entertaining Victorian era novel!"
Antonio Thorndyke is given no option when he inherits
the title of Duke of Weston but to travel to England and
take over his late cousin's estate. Although he'd much
rather stay in Spain with his beloved horses he must do
his duty and find a wife in the process. Tonio doesn't
count on meeting his fiesty neighbor. Newly widowed, Caroline Lockler is quite content to
stay at home in the country riding her horse and being
her own woman without a man to answer to. She does
have one problem she'd like to dispense with and
when she meets Antonio, he's just the person to take
care of it for her. Though Caroline had been married,
her husband was a much older man and never
demanded his "rights" and Caroline would really like to
know what she's been missing. Upon meeting Tonio,
Caroline knows he can show her! The only
problem...how to do so and keep her heart? This sizzling romance is perfect for the Victorian era
lover! Ms. Fox has taken time to research and paint a
very colorful picture with her writing and I would venture
to say this author will go far with her future works! The
colorful secondary characters in this novel will no doubt
make fantastic sequels to this wonderful read!
