London, 1878. Miss Alexandra Ionides is a twice-widowed woman who is wealthy and beautiful enough to do exactly as she pleases. An artist and free spirit, she sometimes poses nude for other artists. Viscount Ranelagh has a reputation for heavy drinking, luck in gambling, and prowess between the sheets. He falls in lust with the breasts of the woman in a painting he bought, then sees another nude featuring the same model. He is determined to find this mysterious model and make her his mistress.

I'm not usually a fan of Ms. Johnson, but when I received this book for review after seeing so many recommend her stories, I decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. This story is about two strong-willed people who are not used to bending or being denied by the opposite sex. Johnson takes us along for a sensual journey from lust to like and finally to love. It will add some sizzle to your hot summer reading.
