Before she can accept his marriage proposal, restaurant owner Penny Halloran wants to find out if she and Martin have any sexual chemistry. She also wants to take the opportunity to act on one of the many secret fantasies that she has never had the courage to try out. Penny has always been the quiet, slightly inhibited kind, but now she thinks it is time to act on her wild side. No more screwing up, and no more wild women! When he receives a mysterious note attached to his sandwich order from the cute delivery girl Penny, asking him to meet her after work, he thinks things are looking up. He is off to a good start in his job and now a quiet, sweet girl like Penny is asking him out.

What happens next is an explosive case of mistaken identity and intentions in the darkened back seat of a limousine. Penny gets the fulfillment of her fantasy, but as it turns out, with the wrong man! And how could Ryan have ever thought this woman was quiet and sweet? Unfortunately, once is not enough for these two and they know that they have to do the right thing by fighting their mutual attraction.

SOMETHING WILD was a fun, pleasant and easy book to read. Penny is a nice girl whose attempt to explore her wild side goes a little awry. Ryan is not a typical hero in that he is not the self-assured macho CEO, but rather an insecure, newly hired employee who desperately wants to succeed. His family's opinion means everything to him and he wants to make them proud of him for once in his life. A relationship with Penny would jeopardize all that, and he has a real emotional struggle ahead of him. I recommend this one to put a smile on your face.
