"Teasing the reader by blending hot sex and a mystery."
"Let me get this straight. You want to create a sex
scandal?" When Zane Masterson suggested to his twin brother Grey that
they trade places for a few days, it was only to assist his
brother, not fall in love. As Grey, Zane must deal with not
only someone trying to sabotage the family newspaper, but
also with a stalker, in the tantalizing form of one Toni
Maxwell. Determined to save her father's job and convince a senator
fixated on marriage to her that she isn't always miss
perfection, Toni focuses on the scandal surrounding Grey
Masterson after his ex-girlfriend published her diary, a
tell all book about the kinkiness of their affair. A sex
scandal with him would be perfect, and would be beneficial
to them both. After her first attempt at gaining Grey's
attention fails, Toni ups the ante and finally succeeds in
getting her man. But now the trouble is getting him to do
what she wants, and getting the senator to believe what he
reads about them is true. Intrigued by Miss Maxwell, Zane whisks them away to his
brother's island and proceeds to discover Toni's threshold
for pleasure. As Zane tries to find out why Toni has been
stalking Grey, and discover who is intent upon sabotaging
the newspaper, the worlds of passion and mystery collide. As the story unfolded, I was riveted. Like the steaminess
of its companion book, DOUBLE THE PLEASURE by Julie
Elizabeth Leto, DOUBLE THE THRILL by Susan Kearney oozed
sex appeal and intrigue from page one. I now know what Zane does with Grey's stalker and it still
sends shivers down my spine. A naked moonlight ride on a
remote island with a handsome, carefree hero. Susan Kearney
did a wonderful job of teasing the reader alongside Toni,
while blending hot sex and a bit of mystery. Combined together, DOUBLE THE PLEASURE and DOUBLE THE
THRILL are definitely that.
