Her larger-than-life hero Mykhayl, a man who has always been prominent in her romance novels but never successfully paired, carries her to a fantasy world that she recognizes instantly as her own creation. His intent is to imprison her in repayment for all the torment she has dealt him, forcing her to bend to his sexual demands. When he finds out that Corinne may possess the power needed to save his kingdom and its future, can he allow himself to trust her?

Corrine's story is a fairy tale, rich in description and magic. It is sensual and luxurious from every angle, and full of enthusiastic sex. By the end of the story the characters are beloved friends, and Khyber, the imperial dragon, is simply amazing. You can't feel anything but envy for the author who is taken by her delicious character just in time to participate in the kingdom-wide fertility celebration, and anxious readers needn't worry about the surprise baby plot in this book, as Corinne had long since 'arranged' for Mykh's sterilization.

Angela Knight's story, BOUND BY THE DREAM, is about Celeste and her science fiction hero Jarred Varrain. After years of sending Jarred against alien monsters, killers, and planetary threats for the enjoyment of her audience, Celeste has found herself completely blocked. The only solution is -- kill Jarred and start something fresh. Jarred, of course, is a bit peeved about this idea. Enlisting Mykhayl's aid, he smuggles Celeste into his world and into his power. Celeste's initial reaction of total disbelief changes rapidly as she realizes her dark and sexy cybernetically-enhanced hero is very much real, and very much set on revenge.

Like most of Angela Knight's stories, this was an uninhibited exploration into the sexual and emotional relationship between two complicated people. Jarred's past made him distrustful of Celeste, and his determination was to get her off his ship as fast as he could. Watching him wrestle with his love for her was touching and the sexual encounters between them blazed with heat. Readers might also appreciate Knight's tendency to stretch the limits (with amazing taste and delicacy): there is a scene involving three people, bondage, and some anal play.

Both parts of CAPTIVE DREAMS were engrossing. Knight and Whiteside have done a fantastic job in this anthology, and any reader of erotic romance should be sure to pick up this ebook.
