"Stung by the Vine of Madness"

Dee found herself on the planet Dementia. How she got there she does not know, but she is there running for her freedom. She has twice avoided being caught by the Dementian male Zaab, who had been hunting for her.

It was all for nothing though, as he finally did catch her when she was caught up by the predatorial vine in the jungle that stings with a venom that makes a female submit to sexual pleasures. This vine is used by the males of the planet to get the human females to submit to them. The men of this planet do not sire female children, just males, and so they kidnap women to do their bidding.

A very different fast reading book.

Summary

Short story. Part of Trek Mi Q'an series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Dee Ellison is catapulted from earth and ends up in a mysterious alien world reminiscent of Planet of the Apes. The males of the planet, she soon discovers, keep human females as sex slaves. More terrifying yet, the Alpha Male of the Hoard is hot on Dee's trail.
