"Enjoyable short erotic romance novel"

Phaedra Aster's family is in a bind and they have asked her to talk to corporate raider Rand Scott-Thomas. He's in the process of taking over the family's company and they have run out of ways to stop him. Phaedra attends a party she's told Rand will be attending, and while waiting for him to show up she meets a seductive stranger. After one dance things get very hot and heavy between them and they can't seem to deny their attraction. Later it turns out that her seductive stranger is none other than Rand Scott-Thomas. He's very attracted to Phaedra and has an unusual proposition for her - he'll drop the take over bid if she will become his mistress.

This novel contains some very graphic sex scenes but they work well in context of this story. The attraction between the characters starts strong in the first few pages and continues throughout the whole story. This is definitely an erotic romance novel, not just an erotic novel. While this wasn't a very long book, it was an enjoyable one and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more erotic than usual romance novel.

Summary

Phaedra Aster has a mission to accomplish. She's been charged by her aunt and uncle to get corporate raider Rand Scott-Thomas to stop the takeover of their family business. She accomplishes her mission, but in a totally unexpected way...she's blackmailed into becoming Rand's mistress. Rand Thomas knew he was taking unfair advantage of the situation, but then Phaedra didn't know who he was when he approached her for a dance at the hospital fundraiser. And after a blazing hot encounter in a deserted hall, he will ruthlessly use her candid comments about her mission against her...anything to keep her in his bed.
