REVIEW

"Emotional and moving story."

Happiness, tears, sympathy, fear, and curiosity are the emotions I felt when I was reading this book.

Happiness when Rose met her wonderful Mark and, for such a short time, they experienced love and a quick marriage before he was shipped overseas. Tears when Rose lost Mark in a horrific bombing in Beirut. Mark was a Marine and dedicated his life to keeping peace and protecting his country.

Sympathy for Rose when she had to meet Mark's family, who did not know she even existed, and make them aware that she was carrying Mark's child. Nervousness when Mark's half- brother Dennis appeared to check up on this woman who married his brother so quickly. When Rose meets Dennis she has feelings that run deep. Much deeper than they should for a brother-in-law. Dennis feels the same and they both experience guilt because of these feelings.

The curiosity comes with the story about Rose's father (or was he really her father?) who was being sought after by the CIA and the FBI. He was a dangerous evil man who stole the country's secrets and was going to sell them to other countries. This would have done a lot of damage to the security of the US. Happiness again comes in the end for Rose and Dennis with a wonderful family around them.

This book is really good. The storyline is one that keeps you wanting to read to the finish. I have read many books that bring tears to my eyes but not many that have actually made we weep like this one did.
