"Love can do wondrous things"
This is the story of Diana, a girl whose life was filled
with what she thought was "bad luck". Nothing went right,
she thought she was fat, her husband only married her for
convenience and treated her terribly, finally divorcing
her. She moved to a new city to start a new job and
hopefully get her life back in order, but she had terrible
headaches that didn't help matters. Dee, as her friends called her, was befriended by Win, the
boy in the next apartment who had magical powers. She did
not know this but soon finds out just what this magic is
all about. She discovers that she herself is very talented
in Magick and she is more powerful than anyone has been for
two hundred years. Dee is taken to a special stronghold where they teach
Magick and all who are there learn how to handle their
powers. She is accompanied by Win, who was actually sent to
protect her from the evil Shiva who wants to kill and
sacrifice Dee in order to gain her powers. I have never read a story like this and I have to admit, I
thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely like to
read more. It is very different and still shows that love
can do wondrous things.
