"Contemporary Romance: Romantic Suspense"
The story begins with Rose Ann Shawnassy and Marine
Sergeant Mark Grady getting married before he is shipped
out to Beruit. The writer makes you feel these two found a
wonderful love and because of that, and not because she
became pregnant, did they marry. The kindness and gentle
manner of Mark in caring for his new wife on their wedding
night is very touching. But soon after he arrives in
Beruit, Mark is killed. One of the more interesting things about the book for me
was learning how the military works concerning death
announcements, procedures, medical coverage, and so forth.
As Mark's family learns of his death, his brother Dennis,
an Ex-Special Forces Staff Sergeant comes to town to
investigate the new bride. Dennis, while trying to comfort Rose through her loss of
her husband, begins to fall in love with her. The writer
does a great job sharing these two people's mutual
attraction and the exploration of their new love. We must
remember that when love does come ... the circumstances may
not be ideal but if you have the courage to explore and
open your heart to the other person, you may find your soul
mate. Because of the many characters in the book, sometimes it
was tricky following the story lines. The espionage added
the suspense and a vehicle for making the hero and heroine
work together. This book reminds us that love can come at any time. Enjoy
the read.
