Ex-Ranger Sean looks forward to his next meeting with Beth. A widower with an eighteen-year-old son, he has been celibate for a long time. Now he has high hopes that he has found a woman who will enjoy the same type of sexual adventures that he does, something he was never able to share with his wife.

Half-Japanese Beth had a falling out with her family when she refused marriage to the man her grandmother approved for her. His public humiliation of her was something she would never forget. Beth is not sure of the wisdom of seeing Sean again. He is an unknown quantity and it is possible he might not truly enjoy submitting. Plus Beth has no desire for commitment, but can't be sure of Sean's feelings on that.

They do meet again, of course, and the relationship they share outstrips both of their fantasies. Now, though, Sean wants more than just a shared weekend. Beth doesn't believe that he has what it takes to satisfy all of her needs. Will Sean be able to convince her that he can be everything she desires?

The fantasies described by the characters in THE SWITCH are explicitly hot and add greatly to the story. The story actually has a plot outside of the relationship between Sean and Beth. Usually I prefer this, but must admit in this book, though the plot is good, I didn't really need it! I did enjoy the fact that you get to know the two main characters. Though very descriptive with some coarse language, this story gives a feeling of being high class, with a very smooth and sensual taste to it.
