REVIEW

"Well-written romance and mystery"

A well written story of a couple who came from opposite backgrounds...one incarcerated for a crime and the other who worked for a law enforcement agency. This book is made up of romance and mystery and holds your interest right through to the end.

After he is released from prison, Drew Bailey finds himself back where he used to live with his grandfather. He sees Charlotte Giles who, as far as he knows, is a waitress at the local truck stop. Having nowhere else to go, he hides in Charlotte's barn, but he does a lot of the heavy work for her as Charlotte raises horses.

They finally meet and the sparks fly...they hit it off in bed and eventually fall in love. They both admit to love right from the start. Drew has a daughter by a former marriage and she shows up at the most opportune time. Charlotte (or Charlie as she is called in the book) has a history of her own. She was married before and it ended unhappily, as did Drew's previous marriage. These lovers were meant to be together.

Why did Bob Waite, the local sheriff, hate Drew so much? Why was he trying so desperately to get Drew back into prison? The mystery that surrounds this man and all his accomplises makes for a well-rounded good book.

Drew goes to New York and finds out things about his grandfather that he never knew and how he left an inheritance for him to help him get a new start with his life. He also, with the help of Charlie's sister and brother, finds the answers to the mysteries that lay around his unjust conviction for murder.

SPOILER WARING: We go with Charlie from a nervous breakdown through the new trial for Drew with her sister as his lawyer, Drew meeting Charlie's family and being accepted for the man that he is, and ending with a happy future for them both with the start of their own new family.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I know you will too.

However, the handsome loner never counted on staying around long enough to fall in love. Charlie's body proves to be more addictive than freedom, and her heart holds the key to his soul. Her love may be his only Redemption...
