"Heroine in search of herself"
This is a story of a girl whose life had been so busy
pleasing everyone else that she didn't have time to find
out who she really was herself. Marie had talent that were hidden and never allowed to
surface. Talents like painting and writing. One day she ran
away from her father's dominance to seek out new
adventures. She went to Europe and met Fredik, a mysterious
man with eyes that could read straight into her soul. Marie
was warned to stay away from Fredik as he was no good, he
would break her heart and maybe even murder her. She felt a
strange drawing to him though, and when he told her of a
back road that would take her to her hotel quicker, she
took his advice only to find he had arranged for her to
have trouble with a tire on her car. After she scrambled
through his woods for awhile, he came upon her and took her
back to his estate. He kept her there and told her she was
to stay with him for one week, naked the whole time. Marie escapes on the fourth day and runs away to Ireland
where she hides in a little cottage from him. Finally she
reads the letter he had left for her and her life takes a
turn for the better. In my opinion, this story does not rank high on my "good
books" list. I found the first seven chapters all sex and
frankly it got boring. The storyline was so simple, I knew
the outcome before I reached the end. There was nothing
that held my interest and the reason I finished the book
was sheer stubborness; I always finish what I start. Rated NC17/Hard R by Ellora's Cave.
