"Out-of-this-world twins"

Kendall Moore was having a bad day. This was to be her wedding day but her scumbag fiancé had blown it all to hell by sleeping with her sister! All she wanted to do was go home, take a bath and forget for a little while.

Little did she know her world was about to change dramatically. On her doorstep is an injured man. Being a nurse, she feels compelled to help. Imagine her surprise when she finds out the man she is helping is from another world and is about to give birth. Good thing she is an OB nurse.

From here the story gets more complex. The man is called Flame and he is on the run from a death squad. He comes from a world where men are not just subservient but are really treated worse than slaves. Their scientists have developed a procedure where they can impregnate the men.

Flame has given birth to twins. His daughter represents a cherished future for two great houses while his son was destined to be chattel to be traded and used.

I'll be truthful I could not get into this book. The women from Flame's world were too cruel and twisted. The men too subservient. I wanted Flame to get some balls. Sorry! But that is all I could think of. Kendall treats him as an equal and all he does is call her mistress. It just didn't flow for me. The death squad is led by his twin sister and she is beyond mean.

I finished the book and it does have a happy ending but I just had no feelings for either Kendall and Flame. For me, a really good book makes me care and this one just didn't do it.
