REVIEW

"Vampire romance has an intriguing element of suspense and a start of a mystery"

Vampire Dr. Justin Corvus has come to visit Dixie and Christopher Marlowe, also vampires. It is while he is tending Dixie's bookstore for her that he meets single mom Stella Schwartz and falls for her in a big way. With no future possible with her, Justin decides to take Dixie's advice and enjoy what time he can have with Stella. Still, falling for a mortal woman is not a choice Justin would have made.

Besides being a single mom, Stella has numerous other burdens to bear. Just making a living and keeping up her mom's house as she promised she would do is almost more than she can handle. Even though she finds Justin extremely attractive, she just doesn't have the time or energy for a man in her life right now. Things take a very different path for her, though, when some thugs Justin rescues her from decide to seek revenge.

Now it seems everyone is trying to run here life for her. It is almost more than a truly independent woman can stand! Throw in Vlad Tepes, the original Count Dracula; add a couple of homeless ghouls; some problems Justin must face with the council, and things can get just a bit complicated!

Rosemary Laurey's talent with words draws the reader completely into the world she creates. Truly a romance, RAPTURE IN MOONLIGHT also has an intriguing element of suspense and a start of a mystery. Stella's son, Sam is a pleasurable part of the story. Justin is a hero to die for, and Stella is an intelligent, strong heroine. Readers of Laurey's WALK IN MOONLIGHT will be pleased to visit once again with Dixie, Kit and other acquaintances. It is highly recommended that WALK IN MOONLIGHT be read first, as the relationships can be a bit confusing if not (plus being an excellent book in itself). I eagerly await the next book in this series.
