"Great romantic erotic tale of vampires"
Volume I of Wilder's Shadow Dwellers series involves the
human and preternatural worlds. This romantic erotic book
includes humans and vampires in a serial killer tale. A group of girlfriends celebrate the 31st birthday of Shai
Jordan (journalist) in a New York City restaurant. After
teasing her about her almost non-existent love life, they
suggest she get a lover and then they get her to reveal her
ultimate fantasy. And it is a good one! Over her friend's head she sees the man of her dreams,
Valentin. Surprise, surprise, he joins them and meets the
birthday girl. The main plot of the book revolves around a serial woman
killer. Shai's job draws her into investigating the crime
where the bodies are drained of blood. Several hints are
dropped concerning the connection to her mother's death,
who the killer is, and who is next victim? Shai? Val appears at her apartment and Shai believes she is
dreaming. All her inhibitions are sent packing though and
she joins Val in erotic playtime. Their connection becomes
more...and they make a declaration. Between calls from the killer, Mikhail, more nighttime
visits by Val, and the continuation of murders, we are
drawn into a story of suspense, awaiting desires, and the
past. The final scene has Shai, Valentin, and Mikhail solving the
mystery of murder in the past and murder in the present.
The lovers reach that plateau of absolute trust and we only
can smile with pleasure. I recommend this book for its great erotic tale and look
forward to the next installation in the series, RETRIBUTION. Sensuality: hot sex, light bondage, and oral sex
