"A fabulous debut book!"
I have really been lucky in getting some fabulous
debut books to review and this one is no exception! Madeline Watson is working on her dissertation at
University of Louisville in Kentucky. She simply cannot
believe that the directors won't let her study human mating
rituals so she decides to go to her very best friend of
four years and then some, Cal Turner. She first met Cal
when she took her car into his garage and something just
clicked. Now she's going to try and see if Cal will help
her get rid of her good girl image. Cal has had the hots for Maddy from the very first
day he laid eyes on her. He cannot believe what Maddy is
asking of him especially when he's trying to gain custody
of
his sixteen-year-old genius half-sister, Allison. There's
also this tiny little rule at the college that says that
teachers and graduate students can't have a relationship.
So Cal proposes that he and Maddy have a few private
lessons but where will this eventually lead? Only time will
tell. I enjoyed reading about Cal and Maddy. On the
outside Maddy was a demure good girl but on the inside
there was a wild side to her. Cal was trying hard to get
over his bad boy image but Maddy brought out the tiger in
him. I sped through this most pleasurable book and eagerly
look forward to reading more from Joanne Rock. I predict
this author will go far and I will be first in line buying
her books!

SummarySociology scholar Madeline Watson can't wait to undertake
the study of human
mating rituals for her dissertation. Too bad the
university thinks she's
spent too much time in the ivory tower to undertake such an
racy subject.
Now she needs to shed her good girl image in a hurry, and
she knows just the
man to help....
Mechanic-turned-teacher Cal Turner is definitely not ready
to provide the
kind of lessons Maddy's looking for. Despite his long-
standing reputation
as a rebel, Cal needs to turn his life around now that
guardianship of his
younger sister is on the line. But once Maddy decides to
turn herself into
a bad girl extraordinaire, Cal has no choice but put out
the fire in her
wake, or get caught up in the blaze along with her!
