"Romance, sensuality, lots of laughs, and a touch of paranormal"
Shelby Tucker is living the simple life in Cuttersville,
Ohio. She runs a ghost tour business although she doesn't
believe in ghosts. Boston Macnamara, a rep for Samson
Plastics, has been sent from Chicago to inspect the
Cuttersville plant for reasons unknown to anyone except his
boss. He ends up renting a home owned by Shelby's
grandmother. Shelby, while conducting a ghost tour which
includes the house that Boston is renting, walks in on the
naked, sleeping Boston. The attraction between the two is
instantaneous. At the same time, Shelby's ex-husband is
trying to convince her to come back to him. That
relationship never tendered the sparks that Shelby so
desperately wanted, but there were sparks and fireworks
capable of starting an inferno when she was around Boston. The ghosts inhabiting the house that Boston is renting,
those very ghosts whose stories Shelby exalts during her
tours without truly believing, begin to make themselves
known whenever she and Boston are together. The two of them
finally give in, deciding to enjoy each other to the
fullest until such time as Boston has to return to Chicago,
but neither of them anticipated falling in love. When
Boston assumes that Shelby, the princess of Cuttersville,
will follow him back to Chicago, heartache is bound to
follow. Ms. McCarthy makes you question whether Shelby and Boston
will be able to make the changes needed to adapt to the
other's lifestyle, or whether Shelby will simply accept her
ex-husband's offer of reconciliation. This is a
lighthearted read that is very entertaining. Shelby is
simply adorable, and Boston, who at first comes off as a
bit of a stuffed shirt, is the perfect match for her. The
secondary characters as well as the resident ghosts, quirky
as they are, are a pleasure to spend time with, whether it
be on a ghost tour, at the local diner, or at a parade. This latest offering from Erin McCarthy offers a touch of
the paranormal, an abundance of laughs, and love scenes
spilling with sensuality and romance. I highly recommend A
DATE WITH THE OTHER SIDE. Reviewed by Laurie Damron for Sensual Romance.

SummaryIn the three years Shelby Tucker has been leading tour
groups through the haunted houses of Cuttersville, Ohio,
she's never caught a glimpse of a ghost. But she does get
pretty startled when she waltzes into the bedroom of a
supposedly vacant cottage and stumbles upon a sexy,
hot-blooded, naked man.
This is no ghost, though. This guy is solid as a rock. Bad
boy Boston Macnamara is renting the so-called haunted
cottage...and he's about to shake things up in Cuttersville.
At least for Shelby, who's never been so hot and bothered
before. And she may find herself haunted with desire if some
feisty matchmaking spirits have their way.
