REVIEW

"Erotic fairy tale anthology"

The Princess Brat - Katherine Kingston

Princess Fanny is not interested in the things most women are interested in -- like dresses, balls, and fancy dinner parties. Her love is horticulture, much to her father's dismay. Over the years her father has hired tutors to instruct Fanny in the ways becoming a young woman, but they have all failed.

Enter Lord Baxter, the final tutor hired by the king to teach Fanny how to be a lady. The king offers him a handsome amount and he agrees to take the job, but mostly because he wants to get into the castle and find out who murdered his father so that he can have his revenge.

When Fanny meets Baxter she has met her match, and the battle of wills begins as she discovers that Baxter has an unusual way of punishing her for rule infractions. Will Fanny learn to comply?

This was a delicious story. I loved the characters of Fanny and Baxter.

The Man Who should be King - Mlyn Hern

Princess Syranna's homeland, Vikalla, was at war for more than 10 years. Her father, King Thomas, feared for her life so he sent her to live on the planet Kalledane, where she has been taught the tradition of magic and healing. Because she was sent away as a child, everyone on her home planet assumes she is dead. When her father dies and she learns she must return to Vikalla to assume her rightful place as queen, she does not want to go. But a deathbed promise to her father's aide forces her to make a return journey, where she plans to renounce the throne.

Sir Marcus is the current ruler and when he discovers Syranna's true identity, he offers a proposal of marriage in order to secure his position as king.

This is a well-written story. I was particularly captivated by the wonderful descriptions of Syranna's dragons.

What a Queen Wants - Bella Andre

Queen Elizabeth has ruled the country of Magonia since she was a child, and is now bored. Everyone in her kingdom respects her and follows her orders without question. Especially the men who give her sexual pleasure. There are no challenges to her authority and her life is mundane. The queen needs a challenge.

Elizabeth is wise for one so young, and she uses her wisdom to serve as judge and jury in court matters. When a man named Gavin comes to her court and she gives him a jail sentence, he openly challenges her decision. The fact that he wants her does not go unnoticed and Elizabeth teases Gavin while he is imprisoned, knowing there's nothing he can do. Until he escapes and shows up in her bedroom to punish her for her wantonness.

This was a sexy story.

Overall, this fairy tale anthology involving princesses is really good and I recommend it highly. It has a great mix of humor, magic, sex, and of course -- love. I will definitely be reading further works by these authors.

Summary

Man Who Should Be King By Mlyn Hurn

Syranna is a princess without a country or loyal followers. When she was a child, her father sent her away to live with her maternal grandfather for protection while he waged a war. Now the war is over, and one of the king's former knights tricks her into returning to the realm with a message for the new ruler. Once there, she discovers the new ruler doesn't want to let her go.

She's not a woman to be dictated to and escapes to the moon- world that had been her mother's home. Here she lives in the mist-laden, myth shrouded land known as Mystonia. When Lord Marcus comes in search of his queen, he soon discovers that two of the most common myths just might be true. The little gray-haired man with the knee-length beard really is a wizard. And Syranna's pets blow flame if you don't handle them carefully.

The Princess Brat By Katherine Kingston

Princess Fanny was a disgrace to the royal family, an untamed hoyden who refused to be gracious or cooperative. Fanny's father needed someone to train the young woman and make her presentable, but her temper and sharp tongue have driven away countless tutors. The king will pay generously the person who can tame her.

Handsome, urbane Baxter was a lord's penniless younger son. Training the princess should be the perfect job for him. But when two strong wills collide, they strike sparks off each other, igniting a fire that threatens their hearts and souls as well as their plans for the future.

What A Queen Wants By Bella Andre

Elizabeth Orleans has just been tied up by three large men. She must submit to their demands or she will never be set free. But when their sexual game comes to an end, she dismisses the men with a flick of her wrist. After all, Elizabeth is the Queen of Magonia and these three men are employed by her to cater to her endless sexual desires. But after thirty years of being in complete control, her strikingly handsome prisoner Gavin Court-—not only arrogant but seemingly immune to her luscious charms—-is about to show her how good it can be to get what she really wants.
