"Exciting romantic suspense series, great erotic love scenes."
The Beach Alibi is the fourth book in The Smithson Group
series by Alison Kent. This particular book spotlights
Kelly John Beach, one-fifth of the crack team of spies that
make up this group. Kelly John Beach, in his efforts to prove that Spectra IT
has enlisted Marian Diamonds in helping to smuggle conflict
diamonds, was caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie
jar while, unbeknownst to him, a hidden security camera was
taping him. A plan was quickly devised to provide a cover
for Kelly John's whereabouts that night. Hank Smithson's
assistant, Emma Webster, was asked to do some assisting of
a different nature by acting as Kelly John's lover while
hidden videocameras roll. Emma has secretly lusted after
Kelly John for a very long time and is most willing to go
however far is necessary for his protection. Their evening
together begins almost immediately and they are very
convincing as lovers with no acting required when instant
sparks are struck between them. Kelly John and Emma enjoy
an evening filled with sexal tension followed by intensely
erotic lovemaking, the likes of which neither had dreamed
possible. It appears that their cover-up efforts, however extreme,
may have come too late and some of the SG-5 spies from
previous books are brought in for an exciting, climactic
ending that offers up questions about a couple of the
secondary characters. This book is unquestionably my personal favorite of this
series so far. These characters are very real and
charismatic, with excellently written eroticism; I wished
the book could have gone on much longer. Alison Kent has
done a huge favor to her readers, whether long-time or new,
with this series. Anyone who enjoys a suspenseful, exciting
book with love scenes that leave you breathless, must get
their hands on this book. Reviewed by Laurie for Sensual Romance.
