"A Different Kind of Love Triangle"
Special Unit member Darcy Henry knew about vampires...and
knew that she didn't like them or trust them. But when
there's a serial killer with bloodsucking tendencies on
the loose, Darcy finds that even dislike and distrust can't
protect her from a vampire's powerful lures. Quentin, a vampire, is recruited to help the Special Unit
gain access to the vampire world and, hopefully, lead the
investigators to the rampaging murderer. His presence in
Darcy Henry's life will shake up the almost-romance that
she had cooking with fellow officer Joe Garcia and land her
in a position she never wanted or expected to be in. With two hunky men vying for her affection -- one a safe,
known, all-too-human policeman she's had her eye on for a
while, the other a dangerously exciting, otherworldly
temptation-made-flesh -- how can a woman choose? LOVE BITES is a delicious, emotional romp of a story, a
tale that builds powerfully on the old, often-used love
triangle and succeeds beautifully in creating something new
and exciting. Second in Devlin's My Immortal Knight series,
the novel features cameos by the hero and heroine of the
first book, but is easily readable on its own. The
characters are well-rounded and a pleasure to adventure
with. Darcy's seduction at Quentin's hands is exquisitely
balanced by her safe, normal desire for a relationship with
Joe, and the romance delicately offset by the rising
tension of suspense woven through the story. The ultimate
solution is delicious. Sensually delightful, LOVE BITES is
a thrilling, compelling read that any fan of vampire
romance would be well advised to take a look at. Sensuality Level: This novel has been rated "E-rotic" by
the publisher.

SummaryOn the trail of a serial killer, vampire Quentin Albermarle
is mistaken for the killer by a police special task force.
Once the smoke clears, Quentin finds himself in a delicious
position—atop one of the unit's crack officers, Darcy Henry.
In need of Quentin's access to the vampire sub-culture, the
task force leadership invites Quentin to join the crime unit
as a special advisor, much to the chagrin of the men in the
unit, and especially, of Darcy.
A no-nonsense cop with no time for romance, Darcy suddenly
finds herself embroiled in a steamy love triangle between
her mortal partner, Joe, and the handsome vampire. Going
from abstinence to wantonness, she is unable to resist the
two men's relentless seduction or her own sensual curiosity
about a vampire's special "kiss".
When the real killer threatens the life of someone close to
her, Darcy makes a choice that forever binds the three of
them together.
