"I loved this historical romance!"
Lady Aline Marsden and John McKenna grew up together but
their feelings are more than they should be. She's a
member of the peerage and he's just a lowly footman. As
they grow up, they continue to have a special bond
and they find themselves unable to not act upon their
feelings. Someone sees them together and goes directly to
her father. That is just the beginning of their
misunderstandings. Twelve years have passed and McKenna is now back in
England. Aline has learned to live without him and
doesn't know if she'll survive him leaving again. She's
also not sure exactly what McKenna wants but she can't
resist her feelings. Will they be able to overcome all of
the misunderstandings and find each other again? I loved this book and I found myself not wanting it to
end. The characters were easy to care about and the plot
flowed smoothly. I found the characters' actions true to
their natures and I even enjoyed reading about the
secondary characters. All in all, I found this to be a
very good romance novel and I highly recommend it to
anyone who enjoys a historical.
