"A preacher and an ex-prostitute? A perfect match!"
Cynthia Potter no longer wants to turn tricks for a living.
A teenage runaway who grew up on the streets, Cyn knows
that it's time to change her life for the better. For
some reason she feels compelled to begin her new life in
Visitation, North Carolina. So she packs up her bags and
hits the road. On his way home from visiting friends, Bruce Kelly is
sitting at a roadside diner when he sees a woman getting
harassed by a truck driver. He's a preacher but he's also a
good man who doesn't like seeing any woman manhandled, so
he rushes out to intervene. After Bruce gets rid of the
truck driver who had assumed he deserved more than a "thank
you" from Cyn after giving her a lift, Bruce offers Cyn a
ride to Visitation. Cyn accepts, but is wary of Bruce and
his intentions. She isn't used to people who just want to
help without wanting anything in return. When Cyn arrives in Visitation, she starts making friends,
finds a job and is astounded when she realizes that she is
falling in love. But will her newfound happiness end when
someone from her past begins threatening her? Cyn may not have the same work experience as your typical
heroine, but she's not ashamed of the life she has led.
She's a survivor who finally decides to make her life
better and takes action to improve it. And what an
improvement it is! Bruce is such a sweet man who doesn't
back down from a fight when the people he loves are in
danger. He has a heart of gold and Cyn is a woman who makes
him feel like no one has in a long time. He certainly fits
the bill of a hunky hero in my opinion. Bruce and Cyn are
two very likable characters who have wonderful chemistry
together and I felt the love scenes had enough sizzle to
satisfy. Ms. Foster is a pro when it comes to writing
sensual love scenes! The suspense was well done and I
wasn't exactly sure how that part of the story would play
out. It's always a pleasure to see the characters from Ms.
Foster's previous books set in Visitation. WHEN BRUCE MET
CYN is a sexy, heartwarming romance that you won't regret
adding to your to buy list. I'm looking forward to the next
book in Ms. Foster's Visitation series.
