"Excellent futuristic erotica!"
When her father finally died, Jane Colby came back to
Tayanita to run his newspaper. She was working as a
reporter in Atlanta before his death. As a reporter,
Jane's covered way too many murder scenes, but she can't
remember anything like this before. When Tom Reynolds
finally came out of the house, he headed for some bushes
and lost his lunch before he even began speaking to her,
and Jane has never seen him do that before. Jane is better
than most reporters, and so Tom gives her a piece of
advice. He tells her the murder is so horrific, everyone
in Tayanita better be on their guard. Baran Arvid and his partner, a genetically enhanced timber
wolf named Freika, were just about to finally get the man
responsible for his team's death so many years ago, when
he was approached by an agent with Temporal Enforcement.
Now he finds himself three hundred years in his past and
he's supposed to find and stop a time jumping murderer.
He's also supposed to keep Jane Colby from being the
murderer's next victim. The agent won't give him any
information. Baran and Freika head for Jane's home and
wait for her to return. When Jane gets home and is confronted by not only the
Warlord, but his wolf as well, she loses it. She doesn't
believe he was sent to save her from the killer until
Freika speaks and shows her how Jack the Ripper's last
victim died. Jane can't believe how brutal the man was and
how he seemed to be enjoying what he was doing. Now Jane
and Baran have to work together to stop the killer. They
also have to deal with the attraction between them. All I can say about JANE'S WARLORD is WOW! This is an
excellent story. The action is non-stop, the sex is hot
and the suspense doesn't let up. Both our hero and heroine
are wounded. Jane's father was abusive and she's always
suspected he killed her mother, but was never quite brave
enough to find out. Baran fell in love at the age of
sixteen and the woman he loved was brutally killed. He has
no intention of falling in love again, but there is
definitely something different about the way he feels for
Jane. The two of them know they have no future together,
but will that be enough to prevent them from falling in
love? Add to this a killer taunting them both, and the mix
is explosive. If you like romantic suspense, if you like
futuristic, heck, if you enjoy a good read, you will
absolutely love Angela Knight's JANE'S WARLORD!
