"Well thought out and enjoyable"
Sabrina Selwyn's life has never been the same since the
fire that left her with both physical and mental scars.
She was an award-winning actress on her family's soap
opera and was engaged to be married. After the fire her
fiance left her, and her family left her on her own to
heal. The only one that helped her was her best friend
Brian Richards. She met him while she was recovering in the
hospital and they became fast friends. Several years later,
she decides to return to her family's soap opera, hoping
that this move will help her to heal some old wounds. Once she's back at work her ex-fiance, David Shelby, lets
her know that he wants to pick up where they left off,
pretending like nothing ever happened. To make things even
more complicated her friend Brian has decided that he
doesn't want to lose Sabrina since he's secretly been in
love with her for years. He wants to show her that her
scars don't matter and that he loves her with or without
scars. The characters in this story were easy to care about and I
found their story enjoyable to read. The plot moved
smoothly along and I was sorry to see the story end. The
growing relationship between Brian and Sabrina was very
well thought out as well as the relationships between the
secondary characters in this story.
