Willa will do anything to get away from her current master, Lord Avron. Lord Avron is a member of the Corporation. The Corporation took all the Sprites, including Willa, from their sentient home planet of Sparkle and has since renamed it. Unbeknownst to her master, Willa has a secret agenda. Lately, she has been hearing her planet. She wants to find her sisters and free her planet. Lord Avron keeps Willa barely alive. Now that Willa is being taken to the Interview Room, her chance has come. She has to be very careful. She knows her master has this room wired for sight and sound. He will be aware of everything that happens in here.

The man in the room is a Jenari. He is looking for a Sexengineer for his Waveship. Bevel isn't sure the little Sprite will be capable of meeting the crew's sexual needs. Willa does her best to convince him.

Willa knows Lord Avron expects her to be his spy on the Waveship.

Will Willa stay on the ship or will Bevel decide she's not up to the task? Will she be able to accomplish her goals?

I love all the different species in TALES OF THE QUIET KITTY 1: UNDER THE CAT'S PAW. I really loved the different characteristics of the Sprites, their feathers, small size and I really enjoyed the way they took nourishment. The one thing I wasn't that happy with, the bad guys were from Earth and were in charge of the Corporation. Camille Anthony did a wonderful job of laying the groundwork for a series of books with this story and I can hardly wait for the rest of the series to come out. Summary
