REVIEW

"A story as hot as New Orleans"

Liz Marsh has always been a good girl and done what her parents have wanted but she's starting to feel like something is missing. Her fiance has been spending more and more time working late. She's usually understanding since she has a very demanding career too, but she's starting to get a bad feeling that he may be cheating on her. Their wedding date is quickly approaching but she doesn't feel that she can go through with the marriage unless she knows for sure just what type of man she's going to marry. Liz's best friend is very wild and knows the type of people Liz never thought she'd meet. The type of person who works as a private detective.

Jack Wade has always been the love 'em and leave 'em type of guy. Growing up, he had to watch his father fall apart after his mother left, and he vowed never to be so tied up in a woman. His job as a PI in New Orleans leaves him without the need for attachments.

From the first second that Jack sees Liz, he finds himself feeling more than he wants to for her. When he discovers that she wants him to find out if her fiance is cheating, he turns her down flat. He's decided to not take on any more cases involving cheating spouses and doesn't want to make an exception even though he's so attracted to Liz. Liz refuses to take no for an answer and offers him more than just money for his help. This is only the start of an erotic adventure in the steamy New Orleans night.

This is the first book in the Hot in the City trilogy and is definitely a hot start. I found this to be a very well written story. The attraction between the two main characters is hot from the start and doesn't let up. The heroine is intelligent and the hero is hot with a Cajun accent. I loved having New Orleans as the setting. There are some scenes that may offend some involving two women, voyeurism, and multiple partners. If you enjoy an extremely steamy story this one is for you.

Summary

A bold tale of a woman's sexual awakening in steamy New Orleans, French Quarter features scenes with same-sex partners, ménage a trois, and sex in public. Not for the faint at heart!

When Liz Marsh hires P.I. Jack Wade to find out if her fiancé is cheating on her, she has no idea she's about to embark upon a sexual odyssey through New Orleans' steamy French Quarter. Raised to be a prim, conservative woman, it takes Jack's sizzling sexuality to make Liz shed her old self and release the secret woman inside her, a woman who seeks every sensual adventure she can find. With Jack on her arm and the decadence of Bourbon Street beckoning, Liz's sexual daring knows no bounds.
