"A very well written paranormal romance"
Reuel, Lord Shatar, Cadish of the Seventh House of the
Alliance Empire, Governor of the Planet Pyrali has always
been someone whose duty to his planet comes first. As the
eldest son he's expected to sire an heir, but a childhood
accident prevents him from having children with the women
of his planet. He's resigned himself to having to take an
alien for a wife and to try to make the best of it, but
he's shocked to discover that his future wife is none
other than an Earthling. He's always found the women of
Earth to be too unruly compared to the women of his
planet. Christa finds the Alliance no better than dictators. She
thinks that the men are throwbacks to a more unenlightened
time. She's not willing to marry such a rude man but she
doesn't want to find herself exiled to an uninhabited
asteroid. Will they be able to overcome their differences
and find a real marriage? Will they be able to admit to
their growing feelings? This was a very well written paranormal romance but not
one I would categorize as a sensual romance. That's not
to say I didn't enjoy this story. The hero is a true
alpha and at the beginning a bit annoying. He comes off
as a bit rigid but bends as his relationship with the
heroine develops and they go through a crisis together.
